I am finally back. I haven’t forgotten about you all, I promise. I just have been very busy, and very distracted lately. I can’t believe it has been over a month since the last time I posted anything. Wow!!!! No, I did not drop off the face of the planet unexpectedly… I have been around and working very hard in the background, designing with my best friend and partner in crime, Carolyn of Digi Cyber Scraps. She and I have been working very hard in coming up with some new designs and revamping some of our older collab kits. I have also been working hard at my other job and wracking up lots of miles driving across the Northwest. In fact, I just got back from a trip to Wyoming last Thursday, and am going to be running up and down the highway to the Puget Sound area this Thursday and Friday again. I work as a pilot car driver for a transportation company, transporting mobile manufactured homes from here in Idaho to other locations in Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming and Utah. Sound like fun? I can’t provide much more information than that, otherwise it would be a breach of confidentiality, but I can let you know that much so that you know why I go missing for long periods of time.
Now that I am back and here for a few minutes, I have some really exciting news to share. I have thought about it for a while and prayed about it a lot before deciding to make a decision about the direction my designing career would take. I had thought about opening my own store and selling my designs and creations, but wasn’t looking forward to the expense and time involved in doing so. I prayed about it some more, and set it on a back burner for a while and didn’t think about it anymore. Carolyn and I talked about it a few times, but nothing really came of it… Until very recently that is. She and I have been working very hard on updating some kits that we teamed up on a couple of years ago to freshen them up and add them to her store. Because they were collab kits that both of us worked on, she came up with the idea of selling them in her store as a collab and talked to the store owner at MyMemories store to find out how best to do that. Well, it ended up that I signed a contract with MyMemories Store to be able to work as a collaborator. This was about a month ago. Since then, Carolyn and I have been working feverishly to get all of the kits updated with a fresh look, packaged and ready to go into the store. At the same time, in the back of my mind, I was still thinking about adding my own creations to a store somewhere to try and make a little extra money. I sent up some more prayers to God for guidance with this issue, turned it into his hands and didn’t think about it again for a while. Last week, I felted moved to make a decision, came up with a totally off the wall and wild idea, and got the nerve up to finally contact the store owner of MyMemories and ask if she would be interested in taking a look at my designs and see what she thought. Well,…She informed me that she thought my creations would be a good addition to the store and sent me a designer contract to sign. So…. as of a yesterday, I will not just be a collaborator with Carolyn as half of the design team for Apple Blossom Creations, but also be a designer as well at My Memories Store. It will take me a little bit of time to get some kits into the store and have it all set up as time allows with my other work schedule, but I will do my best to get that done as soon as possible. Please bear with me during this transition period. It means that I will have to take my laptop with me on the road during my travels to post updates and let everyone know what is going on, so you will be hearing from me a lot more in the future.
I will let that sit and digest, and say good night for now. Thank you for stopping by to check in with me. Sorry I don’t have any gifts or presents for you this time, but I will get around to that very shortly. Have a wonderful day everyone and God Bless.
What wonderful news for you. I will look forward to seeing your collaborations and personal kits in the store. I just love My Memories. Good luck on your adventure.
Thank you so much Chris. I greatly appreciate it.
