Bad Blogger Again, and NSD news and information

I have been a BAD, Bad blogger again.  I apologize for my recent absence of late….  I seem to be saying that a lot lately… but it is true that I am sorry for being MIA and not getting as much done as I would like to and posting it for everybody to see.

A little bit of news and an update, then on to the best part.  LOL

My daughter Chelcey recently blessed us with my 3rd grandbaby about 2 weeks ago, a little boy, named Zephery Landon Alan.  He was 7 lbs.,13 oz. at birth, and two weeks later weighs in at 8 lbs., 9 oz. now, and has grown an inch in that time.  He is cute as a bug, and a wonderful little baby.  I would show you pictures of him, but unfortunately, all of the pictures are on my phone… and I have lost my transfer cable to be able to connect to the laptop and transfer them.  Major sad face.  But you will get to see pictures of him before long, once I start getting some layouts posted of him and the rest of the family.

I have been busy moving the last month, and designing up a storm.  I have a bunch of new products that I am in the process of finishing up and getting ready to put into the store.  On that note, I also wanted to let you know that not only are Carolyn of Digi Cyber Scraps and myself working together as a team now, and have a few collab kits in store for you all, but she has also invited me to be a designer and sell kits at her store as well.   *** I would love to be able to post the beautiful ad that Carolyn put together a few days ago to direct you to the store for all of the new products, or the ability to show you all of the new products that I have put together and added to the store, including 2 brand new Commercial Use items that are in the store and available for download for free for NSD this weekend only, then they will be $1 each after that.  Unfortunately, wordpress has changed around yet once again, and I can not get my images that I uploaded to post in the blog post to be visible for everyone to see.***  So….

You can visit Carolyn’s blog at Digi Cyber Scraps to get all of the details about the sale, or you can go directly to the store at Digi Cyber Scraps, and check out the 2 freebies that I have available there for you.  While you are there, take a look around and see if there is anything that you might be interested in purchasing, while everything is 75% off for the rest of the weekend.

Again, sorry I have been away for a while, and I apologize for being late with this information due to the internet issues I have been having lately.  Thank you for stopping by, have a great day, and God Bless.  Hugs to all and have a great (inter)National Scrapbooking Day everyone.  *waves by to everyone*

April Paris to New York Blog Train

I am participating in this month’s Paris to New York Blog Train again, with a few minor issues and glitches along the way.

I have recently moved in the last month to help make room for the new grandbaby that is due any time now.  Actually his due date was April 13th, which has come and gone.  So my daughter is hoping that Zephrey arrives some time today, since it is her younger brother, Brandon’s 22nd birthday today.  That way, both boys would share the same birthday, 22 years apart.  We will see what happens.

Along with being busy with all of that activity lately, I also have been having internet issues with trying to upload files to the internet and them taking FOREVER because the internet only transfers at 2.3 kb/sec, at the most…  Which means one file could take an hour to transfer.  *SIGH*  And there seems to be no resolution to that issue in sight, either.  So, hopefully everything will run smoothly this time around, with no bumps in the road along the way.

Here is a preview of this month’s portion.  Image is linked to Mediafire download.  If there are any issues with the download, please email me to let me know at desertbloomdesigns[at]gmail[dot]com.  Thank you.

Spring Wedding Kit

Thank You

Hi everyone.  Just stopping in real quick to say thank you to every one for the wonderful comments and emails to say thank you for my creations.  It warms my heart to see how much my designs and creations are appreciated.  It makes me feel inspired, something I haven’t felt for a little while.

Unfortanately, just a couple of days before the blog train was scheduled to go live for the Paris to New York blog train…  my newest fur baby, Panda, became very sick.  We thought maybe it was just puppy flu or something like that, but early the next morning we realized that it was far worse than just the flu.  A trip to the vet early that afternoon confirmed that it was in fact Parvo virus, and that it was already too late.  The virus had progressed too far, she was too dehydrated from all of the vomiting and was losing too many precious fluids…  She slipped away from us by 9 pm that night.  She was just under 6 months of age, still just a puppy.  A huge puppy, for a German Shepard/Black Lab cross… but still just a puppy.  I was shattered and heartbroken, and am still dealing with her loss as best as I can.  I lost my designing mojo for a little while, after having to deal with her death, finding someplace to bury her, and the burial itself, it all took a lot out of me mentally and emotionally.

My dearest and best friend in the entire world, Carolyn of Digi Cyber Scraps, decided to put together a pet based kit in Memorium of both of our recent losses, so that we could scrap photos of our four legged friends.  I decided to help her out with her endeavor, so I photographed some of Panda’s favorite chew toys and accessories, then extracted them out to use them as elements for the scrap kit.  In the process of doing so, I decided to offer them as Personal Use freebies for a limited time, before I add them to my Commercial Use store, soon to be at Digi Cyber Scraps Store.

Long explanation, but that is basically the reason why I haven’t been around lately, and haven’t added any of the Valentine’s Day gifts I had planned to finish packaging and upload to give away as freebies.  It is kind of hard to concentrate and focus when you are dealing with such a traumatic and tragic loss of a best friend and play mate like that.  She will be greatly missed, but I still have Prince to keep me occupied and console me.  Here is a picture of her on her first road trip with me.  Prince went along too, and I thought I had a photo with the two of them together, but I can’t seem to lay hands on it at the moment.

It is hard to believe she started out so small when I first brought her home.  This is a more current picture of her, about a month ago.

I found a couple of pictures of her and Prince together, in their brand new sweaters, when they were about the same size.  She was a little over twice his size towards the end.

Okay, that is enough going down memory lane for now.  I just wanted to update everybody with the reasons for my recent absence and let you know that I am still working on projects, and still have freebies for you…  They will be here eventually, as soon as I can pull my head out of the fog and get it screwed on straight again.  Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding under the circumstances.  I should be back tomorrow with a sweet treat.  Check back tomorrow afternoon for more details.  LOL

Thanks for stopping in and checking on me.  Take care, have a great day and God Bless.

Paris to New York Blog Train

BlogTrainPNY_February2013

It is time for another blog train.  This is my first time with the Paris to New York blog train, and of course, I am fashionably late…

I apologize for my tardiness, my laptop decided to take a dump on me late last night.  My fan hasn’t been working right lately to help cool the laptop off, so once it reaches 90 degrees F, it locks itself up and shuts itself down…  losing everything that you were working on, or in the process of doing when it shut itself down.   Grrrrr….   Technology is not always the best, or the most convenient at times like that.

Here is the preview for my portion.  I have broken the kit into smaller download files for easier downloading.

Desert Bloom

Absent again…

Sorry, my apologies to everyone for my extended absence again.  I have been out on the road with our crew, delivering mobile manufactured homes across the Northwest for the last few weeks.  It has been crazy busy with Fall here and Winter on it’s way…  we have to hurry and get all of these floors delivered to their homes before snow flies.  I have the day today to catch up with you all and share some wonderful upcoming news, though… before I have to head out the door again in the morning and make another run to Montana with another group of houses.

So, on to the really exciting news.  This weekend is going to be a very busy weekend for the digital scrapbooking world, because this weekend is (i)NSD.  Yipppeeee!!!!  My favorite time of the year,  other than Thanksgiving, Christmas and the 4th of July, of course.  LOL

The first bit of wonderful news that I would like to share with you is that the My Memories Store is having a huge blog train this weekend with over 30 different designers each contributing a free kit for this blog hop.  And I am signed up as one of the participants.  I am so excited to be included in this group of wonderful designers, I am almost speechless.  So come back and watch for that taking place tomorrow.

Graphic was designed by CatDesignz using her “Thankful Calm Bundle” that can be found in her store by clicking on the kit link.

The next bit of good news that I have to share with you is that I am one of the designers contributing to this months Design Club at My Memories Store.  In order to receive my portion of this months contribution, you need to click on the preview below and head over to My Memories and sign up for Design Club membership.

Fabulous Fall Design Club Offer

Once you sign up for your membership with My Memories Design Club, you will receive these kits for the month of November, perfect for scrapping those Fall photos.

November Design Club Offerings

My next little bit of good news is that I have a bunch of new Fall products going into my store at My Memories.  They aren’t in the store just quite yet, but here is a sneak peak of what is to come.

Fall Harvest, The Beginning

And finally, the last little bit of news that I have for you is that I am signed up and the Design Sponsor at My Memories for January, so be looking forward to that.

That is about all that I have for you today, but be sure to come back tomorrow and pick up my portion of the My Memories International Scrapbooking Day Blog Train.  Have fun with all of this weekends festivities, have a great weekend, take care and God Bless.

News and Updates

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back with the latest news and updates.  I have made 3 trips to Montana in the last 2 weeks and getting ready to make the next one tomorrow.  I have been busier than I ever expected to be, but I will get the hang of this before long and get better at keeping everyone posted on current events.

The best news I have so far is that My shop at My Memories Store is finally open and has the first set of 6 products for ‘A Mothers Love’ ready and available for purchase.  They have actually been in there and available since August 29, but I have been soooo busy, I haven’t been able to post and let everyone know, or do any advertising.  So, here goes.

Here is a preview of all the portions, with links to the store where they can be found.

This is the first of 2 sets of Monograms for A Mothers Love.  These are brand new, never before seen items, created to coordinate with the entire Mothers Love collection.  This set is done in a soft Cream color to mimic the texture of cool marble, and contains 80 individual png files for both the entire upper and lower case alphas, as well as numbers and symbols.  It is available for $2.99 at My Memories and is 11.6MB in size.

A Mothers Love Mauve Alpha-Monogram Set 2 Preview

A Mothers Love Alpha 2 is available for $2.99 and is done in the Mauve color to also look like cool marble texture with Cream stitching around the edge of the letters.  This is a complete set of upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols, to total 82 individual png files at 11.6MB, and is also a never before seen set, until now.

A Mothers Love Bundle Pack Preview

The last product for A Mothers Love is a bundle pack, combining the original kit, the Add-On kit, the Cluster Elements, and both Monogram sets into one purchase of $8.99.  Purchasing all of the individual kits would cost $19.95, but in order to give my loyal customers a break, I cut the price in half for additional savings.  That is a huge value for a kit with over 400 pieces!!!  There are a few more items in this kit that I added as I was packaging it up for the store because I felt that it was missing something.

Please feel free to let me know what you think of the previews, about the kit itself, or any additional questions, comments or concerns you may have.  I welcome all of the above.  Leave me a little note to let me know you were here and I will reply back to you as soon as I can.  Thank you so much for stopping by today and visiting.  Take care and God Bless.
